Dear Malini
Mouse pericytes are very sensitive cells that become increasingly
senescent after freezing and with each passage. Therefore, I would
strongly advise against freezing mouse pericytes, and recommend using
them for your experiments as soon as possible in culture. If you are
using ScienCell mouse pericytes, we strongly do not
recommend re-freezing as they will change their phenotype and may not
grow upon revival. If ScienCell cells are re-frozen, we do not guarantee
the cell performance.
If, however, your experiments necessitate cryopreserving your mouse pericytes, I would recommend Cell Freezing Medium (Cat #0133).
Best,
SCIENCELL TEAM
